Praying At Gravesites – Not about Lubavitch, but it provides a perspective on something that has always been an essential practice of Chasidim. By Yrachmiel Tilles.

Halachic Ruling – The famed ruling, with "over 150 signatories," declaring that the Rebbe is legally a prophet and has prophesied that he will be Moshiach. The signatories seem to neglect the fact that if someone prophesies that so and so will not die on Tuesday, and to all appearances so and so dies on Tuesday, the prophecy does not override the physical evidence and the man is taken out to be stoned to death as a false prophet (as the judges can only follow the evidence presented before them). The ruling effectively affirms the myth that the Rebbe prophesied that he would be Moshiach, unwittingly ruling that he is a false prophet worthy of capital punishment.

Kol Koreh Against Meshichistim (pdf) – A group of prominent Anti-Meshichist rabbis call upon the Meshichistim to cease their provocative behavior. The poster speaks against the deification of a human being while adding that precedent for such terminolgy in classical Judaism was not meant to deify. Despite this hostile and divisive implication, no reason is given to assume that those citing these passages as precedent had anything ulterior in mind. The poster also states the Anti position that the Rebbe expressed displeasure towards the preoccupation of identifying him as Moshiach (apparently meaning outside of Lubavitch), but has no comment on the identification itself. (Hebrew and English)

A Good Resolution About Moshiach – An early attempt by a Crown Heights Lubavitcher to explain the kefira position. This is an article that appeared on the internet about a year after the Rebbe passed away. It is a nice effort to explain the different sources, but much of the analysis is erronious.
